Photocatalytic Pigments

PS-Photonox

PS-Photonox is photocatalytic titanium dioxide that breaks down pollutants with UV radiation. It is an ultra-fine titanium dioxide without pigment properties that catalyses the breakdown of organic and inorganic molecules when exposed to UV or UVIS radiation. It is a white powder resistant to air, moderate temperatures and pH values between 3 and 14. Compared to conventional titanium dioxide catalysts, suppresses the formation of NO2 (> 70%).

Main properties

  • break down the dirt on surfaces (e.g. soot, algae, organic infestation, etc.)
  • reduce undesirable odours (e.g. car exhaust fumes, etc.)
  • clean the air

Applications

  • interior and exterior paints (for air improvement)
  • plastic films, window profiles, paints, cements, etc.
  • against noxious gas pollution, such as those caused by industrial plants and car traffic, so primarily nitrogen oxides
  • against greasy soiling such stearates
  • against bacteria and mould spores as well as algae indoors and outdoors
