Talc-Dolomite Composites – incomp
The incomp special extenders from euroMinerals are multi-functional extenders based on talc and dolomite, ground to different fineness and talc content. The unique co-milling process results in a flake-like structure characteristic of talc, but with slightly different properties to pure talc.
Applications
- anticorrosive systems
- decorative and industrial paints
- lacquer industry
- plastics & rubber
- redispersible polymer powders
- construction chemicals
Outstanding properties
- outstanding dispersibility and wettability in water based and solvent based coatings
- high whiteness (can be used as titanium dioxide extender)
- low oil absorption and therefore lower VOC
- matting effect
- anti-caking behaviour
incomp SE Super Plus – a special products for anti-corrosive systems
Advantages
- better anti-corrosion protection
- reduction of formulation costs, less binder is needed
- better dispersibility, less wetting agent is needed
- when drying, incomp SE Super Plus shows immediately eye-catching results in terms of gloss (better cohesiveness)
- with incomp SE Super Plus, 26% higher abrasion resistance compared to a simple blended talc and carbonate product can be noted. Compared to pure talc, about 35% improved abrasion resistance is feasible
incomp SE Super and incomp SE Super D as anti-caking agents for re-dispersible polymer powders.
Both products show the best performance as anti-caking agent in the production of re-dispersible powders. They give excellent flowing properties, keep the products dry, can be used under tropical conditions and give very good cost-performance ratio.
